Felix Reuter – Piano

In this continuation of his programme, Felix Reuter presents works by famous composers inspired by nature with humour and a touch of mischief, demonstrating great skill and compelling sensitivity, which makes the performance all the more impressive. He explores compositions whose titles are closely linked to natural phenomena. Among others, he tackles Peter Tchaikovsky’s ‘Flower Waltz’ and ‘Swan Lake’, as well as Saint-Saëns’s animal world in ‘The Carnival of the Animals’. Composers who have created wonderful music about phenomena such as the night, the rain, the moon or love are also given attention.

Anyone familiar with Felix Reuter’s approach to music knows how intelligently and charmingly he opens the door to classical music in his humorous ‘conversational concerts’, even for those who have so far ventured only a few steps into the world of the serious arts.
